For years I've been fascinated with Africa's wildlife and in particular with Wild dogs. It's hard not to gravitate towards them, as a dog lover. They've been decimated, reduced to a few localized areas, so that their survival depends almost entirely on organizations to keep them safe from poisoning, snares and loss of habitat. My intent was to capture the intensity and wariness of these canines during a hunt. Their relationships and communication, makes them brilliantly intelligent and efficient predators. They blend seamlessly into their surroundings, as the members trot off to encircle their prey. Wild dogs are very necessary to the balance of a delicate ecosystem.
