Fresh air, we all need it; we all want it. Happily, the present US government has terminated the previous roll-backs on environmental rules and regulations instigated by the former administration. Our air quality is once again protected, though not yet improved. Sadly, we are not making significant progress in our protection of birds. There are now 2.9 billion fewer adult breeding birds in North America than there were in 1970. We can be proactive as individuals and in groups to help stop global warming and be part of the solution, not the problem. Birds win and we win when we make our world cleaner for everybody.
