One of my favorite places is the non-profit Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone, Montana. It was opened as a sanctuary for nuisance bears or orphaned cubs. Instead of being destroyed, the bears that reside at the GWDC were rescued, given a second chance and now are ambassadors for their counterparts in the wild. As a devoted supporter of the Center, I visit several times a year to sketch and photograph the bears and wolves. My painting is of orphaned grizzly twins, Grant and Roosevelt who have been at the Center since 2011.
