This painting was inspired by, and is in fact a scene from our own land here in Kentucky. We leave large undisturbed patches of milkweed to grow for the monarch butterflies and other creatures who depend on these beautiful plants. I never tire of watching the myriad creatures who inhabit this world. I could spend hours watching them.
