Wall color:
In August, as the sun was low on the horizon, I was out birding around Niven Lake in the middle of Yellowknife. In one small area the water was transformed into, what I can only describe as, liquid gold. This was the result of the sun reflected off a building that was close by. The young Horned Grebes were feeding in the middle of this luminous water. I love painting water in all its various guises and the birds as they live their lives in and about this amazing life-giving medium.
