These charming nocturnal primates of the Amazon Basin are losing their homes to the ravages of human-caused fires in Brazil. I wanted to call awareness to their innocence and vulnerability. I am appalled by the thoughtless destruction of one of the world’s most diverse and ecologically important landscapes. I have been lucky enough to have led ecotours in their habitat and to understand how valuable intact tropical forests are. As an artist and naturalist, I care, and so I share.
