The Walden's Hornbill (Rhabdotorrhinus waldeni) is a critically endangered species endemic to the Negros Forest, Philippines. The Talarak Foundation has been involved with captive breeding, and in 2020, produced 2 chicks! This remarkable accomplishment is in spite of sporadic funding, natural disaster, and ongoing anthropogenic impact from animal trafficking, loss of habitat, hunting and illegal collection. The conservation pledge will be donated to the Talarak Foundation.
