Africa's wildlife has an incredible diversity. The Northern Dwarf Monkey was only recorded in 1997 as a separate subspecies of the monkey families. This species is summarized with the Vervet Monkey and it is therefore unclear whether it is endangered as a species. But, is this really the truth? Will it stay that way? My portrait symbolizes the many inconspicuous species, the traffic jams of which are not yet considered to be at risk. Is it really just because we don't see it or haven't explored it yet? So the portrait symbolizes a species that is brought into the light from the dark and seen before it maybe secretly disappears forever.
