Wall color:
This painting depicts two Yellowstone gray wolves. The intent of showing this social interaction is to remind the viewer of the intimate connections between these predators. There is a mystery here. However there is also a clear display of intimate communication.
My hope is to encourage continued conservation efforts for the wolf, with every right to live free in the wild.
Since the early 1930’s when we had almost eliminated the wolf from the planet, US conservation programs brought the wolf out of near extinction to its rightful place and purpose. Today for example, in Yellowstone, the wolf can be credited with balancing the entire ecosystem within the park as per National Geographic photographer Ronan Donavan.
