The protection of wetlands and wetland birds is one of my current important work. A few years ago, I saw this bird on a reed in Nanhui, Shanghai. It stood on the reed stalk and looked at me. Suddenly, it spread its tail feathers. Under the sunshine, it was so beautiful that I couldn't forget it. Recently, the government announced that the reed covered wetland will be used to plant trees, and the home of Reed Parrotbills will no longer exist. We have done a lot of work to appeal to the government to stop this project and this painting was created for this purpose.
