Blyth's Hornbill or Papuan Hornbill occurs from the Moluccas to the Solomon Islands. It is the only hornbill in its range and it is the most eastern of all hornbills. This large bird is a strong flyer and the wings produce loud sounds. It is a rainforest bird and requires a large tree hole for its nest and fruit trees for food. It is mainly a fruit-eater and the fig is its favorite food.
