Artist Statement
The Udzungwa Forest Partridge was first discovered in 1991 by western ornithologists after a pair of strange orange feet were noticed in a cooking pot in a Tanzanian forest camp. It is found in the forests of the Udzungwa Mountains in Tanzania. It is threatened by habitat loss and hunting.
