Artist Statement
I painted this as a demonstration at the AFC festival to ensure that at least one more bird would make it to the Silent Skies Mural. I had the pleasure to talk to many folks at the event about the plight of the Tahiti Reed Warbler and the many other species of birds on the mural...it gave me the great honor to be able to educate others and create awareness about this and other avian species on the “critical list”.
