Artist Statement
The Sangihe Dwarf-kingfisher has only recently become a species separate from the near threatened Sulawesi Dwarf-kingfisher. It is a critically endangered tiny forest kingfisher with bright coloring that lives on the island of Sangihe in Indonesia. It has not been seen since 1997.
