Preening is a bird’s way of grooming his feathers, keeping them in top condition.
Humans have been exploiting birds in many ways for all time. The Lilac-crowned Amazon is just one of many species of birds around the world that is suffering from over exploitation due to the illegal-pet trade and habitat loss.
When I see a bird lift it’s wings and fly, my mood is lightened, my burdens lesson and a feeling of freedom washes over me…
