Artist Statement
The Cundinamarca antpitta is known only from a few locations on the eastern slopes of the East Andes range near Bogotá, Colombia. It inhabits the understory of primary and older secondary growth cloud forest between 1,700–2,300 m where it forages for arthropods and earthworms in the leaf litter and soil on the forest floor. Threatened by rapid deforestation.
