Programs

Through its programs, Artists for Conservation provides powerful cultural experiences that engage, inspire and inform the public, and empower passionate professional artists as effective ambassadors for the environment. AFC programs are unique in concept and exist to further our mission to support environmental conservation work through art that celebrates our natural heritage.

As one of the world's first online artist groups, AFC's programs initially began entirely online. Since inception, ArtistsForConservation.org has been the main portal to support and promote AFC programs internationally. It features the world's largest online gallery of contemporary nature and wildlife art and features several thousand pieces of original and limited edition nature inspired artwork.

Since 2008, AFC has held its annual juried exhibit - today the world's top conservation-themed art show - juried by an international panel of industry professionals, including curators, editors and artists. Every fall, since 2011, AFC has hosted its flagship event - the Artists for Conservation Festival, in Vancouver, BC. It's a one-of-a-kind, international cultural event supporting and celebrating nature at one of the most spectacular venues on the planet in Vancouver, BC Canada.

AFC events and exhibits regularly tour internationally through North America and Asia.

AFC actively fosters its international community of artists from over 30 countries through exploratory field trips, supporting art-science expeditions, safaris and diving expeditions. AFC publicizes its work and informs the public about its activities through books, films and social media channels.

Thanks to the generous support of our partners, sponsors and donors, AFC is able to develop and run numerous programs. Get involved with the AFC to support us in continuing our mission.
