AFC Festival Returns to Grouse Mountain in 2014

Vancouver, BC., CANADA – January 27th, 2014 - Artists for Conservation (AFC) is pleased to announce the return of their signature event to Vancouver in 2014. The 4th annual AFC Festival will take place from September 26th through October 5th, at Grouse Mountain Resort in North Vancouver, BC. RE/MAX is returning as the title sponsor of the event.

The festival program will continue its focus on art and environmental education for the benefit of wildlife and habitat conservation. The centerpiece of the event is the international juried AFC annual exhibit - the world's top conservation-themed art show - featuring approximately 80 original paintings and sculptures by master artists from around the world. The event provides a rare opportunity for visitors to meet many of the master artists from around the globe, including Africa, Australia and Europe, and North America.

Each year the Festival attracts dozens of leading artists, including three-time festival patron Robert Bateman and special award recipients, Pollyanna Pickering, Dr. Guy Harvey and Richard Ellis.

AFC President, Jeff Whiting adds: "We’re very pleased to be returning to Grouse Mountain once again. The festival provides a spectacular venue for top artists from around the world to join efforts in raising awareness and support for conservation."

In addition to AFC's annual art exhibit there will be meet-the-artists events, lectures, music and cultural presentations, art and conservation themed films, workshops for adults and youth/students, gallery tours, live artistic demonstrations, ticketed events and cultural performances. AFC will premiere its next documentary film during the festival. Programming details will be announced during the summer.
