1999/03/01 Dye accepted by National Museum An exhibit of Susan Dye's work titled "Purrsian Art" was accepted into the Archives of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C.
The National Museum of Women in the Arts brings recognition to the achievements of women artists of all periods and nationalities by exhibiting, preserving, acquiring, and researching art by women and by educating the public concerning their accomplishments. 1999/03/01 Duck Stamp Art Workshop in New Jersey The only official Duck Stamp Art Workshop will be held at the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, March 30 through April 4, 1999. This is a comprehensive program dealing with stamp designs, duck anatomy, painting and sketching techniques. It will also include basic duck sculpture to study lighting, making 3-D casts of duck heads and beaks in addition to sketching and photographing live ducks of all the eligible species for 1999 and 2000.
