Following the creation of a life-sized Columbian Mammoth in bronze, AFC bronze sculptor Chris Navarro has taken on another big challenge.

‘'Essence of Rex" is a life-sized T-rex founded in bronze. At 28 feet long, 13 feet hight and 7 feet across, the sculpture weighs 5500 lbs . The sculpture is even more noteworthy in that one side is a skeletal representation, while the other side is fleshed out with muscle and skin.

The sculpture was installed officially dedicated August 21, 2014 at the Tate Geological Museum Casper College, Casper, Wyoming. "I have never sculpted a figure showing the skeletal framework and I plan to run an internal lighting system through the sculpture radiating light giving it a special effect. To bring it to life, I will have to inject emotion into it. I want to give it the ‘wow' factor and I can't wait to share it with the people of Casper''.
