"During her entire career Vaux has been a dedicated conservationist, donating many of her art works to fund-raising activities which benefit endangered wildlife. The organizations she has supported are too numerous to mention, but include: The Wild Animal Sanctuary (in nearby Keenesburg, CO) the National Audubon Society, the World Wildlife Fund and the Nature Conservancy, the Marin county Humane Society, the San Diego Zoo, and the San Francisco Zoo. Currently she is supporting the International Hoofed Animal Awareness association and a local fund-raising organization, Idea Wild; dedicated to aid many small but beneficial projects around the globe. "

IDEA WILD:

■ Provides Equipment and Supplies – In over 20 years IDEA WILD has provided binoculars, mist nets, climbing equipment, computers, printers, global positioning systems, LCD projectors, video and digital cameras, and other equipment, directly to more than 4,500 conservation projects in over 100 countries.
■ Promotes Recycling – IDEA WILD encourages equipment transfer from one project to another when the first is completed. On average, the equipment cycles through at least three projects. Consequently, over 13,500 projects have used, or are currently using, equipment...
