"Little did I know that twenty years ago, when I travelled to the Arctic for a once in a lifetime expedition to see icebergs in person, that the experience would change my life. Over 16 expeditions to the polar regions, I have experienced first hand the struggle of polar bears search for food, seen glaciers drastically recede and melt and even witnessed the landscape change colours from icy blues and browns to greens in as little as 3 years before my eyes. My Inuit friends and scientists have confirmed what my eyes couldn't believe. With almost 50 years of oil painting experience, I attempt to share the beauty of the polar regions while telling the stories of the drastic changes.
