She has all the strength and spirit of a true warrior. She is powerful, spectacular and beautiful. The only thing she cannot fight is poachers and trophy hunters who are decimating her species.

According to conservation organization Fauna and Flora International, there may be as few as 20,000 lions left in the wild. Lions have disappeared from over 90% of their historical range.

As the human population increases, these magnificent mammals are being crowded out of their homes - boxed in by human settlements - unable to roam as far and free as they need to survive. And this pushes them into ever more dangerous situations.
