Wide-eyed, innocent and vulnerable, they have no voice except for the language they speak with their eyes. Owl monkeys are losing their forest habitat and numbers are declining due to the human footprint. New scientific research proves that protecting forests, even small fragments, is vital to the species' survival. If we lose them we lose a part of ourselves as well as the beauty and colour that makes our world. I chose the black and white medium to symbolize this.

This artwork was selected for the 2016 Art of Conservation- An International Exhibit of Nature in Art Virtual exhibit with companion hard cover coffee table book. In 2016 this artwork was selected as a finalist in the Water House Natural Science Art Prize held at the South Australian Museum.
