A cute little meerkat was captured on my camera from my visit to Taronga zoo in Sydney and then re-created on scratchboard. I loved how laid-back she looked without a care in the world, oblivious to all the people snapping photos and revelling in the antics of her mates.

Meerkats can sometimes be mistaken for primates. They are a mongoose species. Fortunately, according to the IUCN, they are not endangered.
