When visiting the Western Plains Zoo in NSW, I photographed this gorgeous lion one warm sunny morning. His spectacular main captured the sunlight accentuating his impressive and powerful presence.

In the last two decades, lion populations have declined by 43%. We must act now to ensure the survival of this iconic species. Lions are essential for maintaining the health of Africaʼs fragile ecosystems.
