Saving Species Through Art
In Wildlife Asia Roar Event for 2017 the focus is to highlight the Leuser ecosystem, specifically the Sumatran elephant population. Artworks on offer will be available for viewing from November 2nd at Kidigo Art House, Bathers Beach, Fremantle, Western Australia with live art creations and an auction of selected works on November 9 run by Art Auctioneer John Cook.

Connecting with values shared by many artists, Wildlife Asia saves Critically Endangered species across Asia from extinction. Wildlife Asia supports the conservation of species such as rhinos, orangutans, bears, tigers, elephants and gibbons and their habitat and focus on the direct protection of wildlife from poaching and illegal encroachment through Wildlife Protection Units as well as the long-term securing of land in critical areas.
Background:
Wildlife Asia has developed a proven history to operate in areas difficult for the large international non-government organisations to access, through a process of genuine relationship building with local leaders and community representatives who value the protection of wilderness and wildlife. The key element in these emerging regions is to provide support to leaders and civil society organisations who are able to effectively direct and deliver the public communication required for sustainable long term development. Recognising and respecting both the environmental and political sensitivities as well as the values of these regions to be protected and conserved is essential to success.
