I love painting water – I am fascinated by the movement, and by the way the light caught the ripples created by this bobcat as he swam towards the river bank. Although tigers enjoy swimming, most of the cat family tend to avoid the water, so I thought this would make an unusual theme for a painting – a fresh way of looking at a familiar subject.
