The Trumpeter Swan is a local favourite waterfowl here where they make the Crowe River one of their stops during their winter migration. They are the largest waterfowl native to North America with a wingspan that can exceed 10 ft. It's fantastic to see these birds up close, knowing that they are making a recovery after nearly facing extinction in the 1930's.
