Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, self taught artist Joseph Koensgen has been drawing and painting his entire life. An avid hiker and photographer, he draws his inspiration directly from nature. His scenes are an interpretation of the nature that captures his imagination, with the hope that he can share his art and connecting people to the nature that inspired him. A five time Ducks Unlimited Canada National Portfolio artist, his desire is to use his art as a platform to promote conservation and appreciation for the natural world.
