This is the same bird species that I painted in my 1994 painting “Sea Treasures.”  Turnstones were named after their habit of turning over stones & shells on the beach as thery search of food.

Exhibiited at the 2008 Society of Animal Artists Annual Exhibition, which was held at the Neville Public Museum, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
