The Wood Thrush seemed the perfect companion for this hymn and antique Gypsy violin.  The harmonic qualities of this species at dawn combined with the rich colouring of its nape and spotted breast are echoed in the violin both visually and musically.  This piece is a symbolic representation of the way God wants us to live, in unity and harmony with nature and others as we all “Rise to Greet the Sun” each new day.
