The subject in this painting was raised and released in my yard which is a certified wildlife habitat. This yard I have released 57 monarchs and have battled assassin bugs and mites.
My goal is to plant and attract as many native creatures as possible and to get my neighbors to do the same. Currently I have, hummingbirds and painted buntings durning the winter and rabbits , opossums, raccoons and grey foxes all year round visiting my small yard. There are at least five different butterflies and plan to expand that number as much as possible in the near future.
