The Sri Lankan Leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) has been classified as endangered by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) and is native to Sri Lanka The population is no larger than a mere 250 animals is declining due to a number of reasons which includes poaching and also the human-leopard conflict.

This piece was a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation WAY 2017 (Wildlife Artist of the Year) exhibition in London.

The medium is mixed crayon over an 'embossed' linen board, a medium that I have developed over the years, original only to my work.
