This piece was selected for the SWLA 2016 (society of wildlife artists) annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London, & was the first painting of a dead mammal ever to be selected for this event.

I found this young adult female (jill) Stoat on the side of the A27 road which runs through the South Downs National Park between Lewes and Firle in East Sussex, UK. By the enlarged teats it was obvious that she was feeding at least six kits, they would have starved to death. This piece is to demonstrate the wider damage humans do to the Natural world, other than climate change. The cruel irony is that this killing occured in a National Park......
