How tragic it is that our closest relatives, Chimpanzees, are endangered because of human activities! I have been fortunate in observing chimps in the wild, and they are amazing. I am donating all proceeds from the sale of this painting to Biocultural Conservation Institute, which is supporting several non-profits adjacent to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Bwindi supports more than half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas, a population of Chimpanzees, and other primates. Our support will help the Batwa people, displaced without proper compensation from the park, so that they can have a decent lifestyle without having to go back into the forest.
