I often visit southern Africa in the dry season and have frequently seen the beautiful sight of strikingly patterned zebra walking through the stunted mopane bushes. This is what inspired the creation of this studio painting. The pink and purple above and below the zebras, and their stripes, were all completed in 1 wash, which proved to be quite a challenge.
