Prehistoric Charisma
I’ve got the chance to see this impressive bird in Kenya, during a special Artist conservation safari, which was guided by artist and naturalist Jan Martin McGuire.
The Marabou stork belongs to the largest storks in the world and is a scavenger. The large bird has a dark back and wings. The plumage around it's featherless neck down to the belly is a dirty white. The bill of the Marabou stork is long and heavy.
