I photographed this beautiful cat in Montana and was intrigued by its eyes and agility. This is one of the very first acrylic paintings I painted and although a small piece, it is very detailed. The Canadian Lynx is considered endangered in the United States due to timber harvest, recreational developments, highway mortalities, being trapped for their fur, fragmentation from logging, road construction and genetic isolation from other population in Canada.
