Crazy Over You
Brilliant cyan blue members of the jay family, highly adapted to their pinon pine and high desert environment, they feed on pinon nuts that they dig out of the pine cones with their very long beaks. The jays have bare nares, meaning their long beaks have no feather covering on their nostril openings so as to not get the sticky tar from the pine cones on their beaks when feeding. They also have behavior when in flocks that allows them to fly with the rear flank rotating to the front so as to allow all members of the flock equal seed accessability. Amazing adaptation! And yes, just as gregarious and any of the jay family.
