Morning Song
There are actually two main subjects in this painting as it was the old weathered stump I fell in love with first. It is full of character with it's holes, cracks, scratches, bent nails and rusty chain. The icing on the cake perse is the Robin perched on top, watching the field behind him, singing his song. The American Robin is a migratory songbird and is one of the largest thrush in North America.
