Barkerville is one of my favorite places to visit when I visit the Cariboo Region of BC, and during one of my visits I was lucky enough to spot a fos scurrying around the buildings and boardwalks looking for food.  I followed him with my camera through the historic town until he disappeared into the nearby forest.  These animals are frequent visitors to the park and it saddened me to learn that some visitors forget they are "wild" and offer them scraps.  Feeding them has led to the occasional visitor getting bitten, which sadly leads to this beautiful wild creature getting trapped and put down.  We must always remember to keep our distance from any wildlife and respect their boundaries.
