Growing up in Regina, SK and travelling back to the US where she was born, Laura was continually exposed to the beauty of natural landscapes stretching from the golden prairies of Saskatchewan to the canyons and lush forests of Yellowstone National Park. It is obvious that capturing the realism of nature would be the focus of her work. Laura is a self-taught artist who began her career in the fall of ’99 and by 2014 became recognized as one of BC’s representational wildlife painters with awards from organizations such as Ducks Unlimited Canada, BC Wildlife Federation and the Pacific Salmon Foundation. Laura’s goal is to continue to grow both as an artist and conservationist through exploration and artistic interpretation.
