"Island Artists Share their love of Muskoka, Muskoka Magazine, August 21, 2011

The Tobin Island School of Fine Art hits the press in Muskoka. Scott Turnbull visited our group at our studio on Tobin’s island, Lake Rosseau Muskoka to profile us in the August issue of Muskoka Magazine. There is mounting interest in our artist group that have been painting together for several years and have illustrated two children’s books; Chucky the Lonely Inukshuk 2009 and Larry the loon 2011.

Larry the loon is officially launched on August 13th & 14th in Port Carling, Ontario in the heart of Muskoka. It has already sold 5,000 books and is considered a Canadian best seller. The proceeds from this book are directed to the Canadian Wildlife Federation for the preservation of loons.

The Tobin Island School of Fine of Art, led by D.A. Dunford consists of Susan Gosevitz, Loretta Rogers, Darcey Sills and Karen Genovese. We have become great friends sharing our ideas and techniques.
