Raccoons are often seen as familiar neighbours, but beneath their adaptability is a remarkable wild animal—intelligent, resourceful, and deeply connected to the ecosystems around them.

In this piece, I wanted to capture the character and quiet intelligence of the raccoon while encouraging viewers to look beyond the animals we encounter every day. Wildlife conservation isn’t only about protecting rare or remote species; it also means learning to value the animals that share our communities and finding ways for people and wildlife to coexist.

Through my wildlife art, I hope to create that connection—to invite people to pause, look more closely, and recognize the individual beauty and importance of the wild animals around us.
