Dining Companions
Giraffes have large eyes and long eye lashes, looking almost like they are animated. Beautiful and graceful creatures with long legs and necks that cause one to marvel. Drinking and sleeping positions are dictated by that neck. They have constant companions that make great adaptive dining guests. The yellow-billed Oxpecker is a slender passerine adapted for gooming ectoparasites from large mammals. Their tails are stiff, legs short, feet strong and have flattened bills that scissor through the thick hair, making them a beneficial dining companion. Observed in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Art is framed with conservaation glass.
