"A Living Marsh" is a masterful acrylic on canvas that transports you to the very heart of the vibrant Plaisance National Park marsh in Quebec. Painted outdoors from the floating bridge winding through this lush ecosystem, the canvas is an ode to the natural beauty of marshes in full bloom at the peak of summer.

This painting, created outdoors in the summer of 2025, is part of my art project, "Painting Plaisance National Park Outdoors." It depicts the Swamp of Zizanie area with its large beaver lodge. The marsh was in all its splendor, with magnificent aquatic plants in bloom and the surrounding wildlife active. Painting to the sounds of frogs and birds, feeling the warm summer breeze, and being immersed in this unique place was a beautiful experience.

Inspired by the liveliness and energy of the marsh, this painting offers a striking scene where the majestic beaver lodge emerges as the undisputed star of the aquatic landscape. Shimmering colors and meticulous details intertwine to evoke a sense of peace and harmony, while the sparkling reflections on the water add depth and movement.

With this unique piece I wanted to capture the very essence of wildlife and invite each viewer to lose themselves in the tranquility of the moment. It is an invitation to escape, a tribute to nature, and a treasure to contemplate day after day.
