I cross the border into Canada whenever I can, and I never run out of reasons to be amazed by the beauty I find there.

I spent time with this stunning Great Horned Owl in Quebec last winter, and I remember thinking, this can’t be real. What an incredibly beautiful creature.

I feel so lucky to have had that moment - and even luckier to be able to carry that experience home with me and share it through a painting.
