Even behind the barrier, its gaze was so intense it made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.I decided on a dark background to help capture the feelings I experience from his menacing  gaze. Using dark pastels on dark paper allows the wolf to emerge directly from the shadows, focusing everything on its powerful stare.
