I began this painting with the lead dog. I composed the painting around her. My goal was to tell a story of excitement and capture the sense of movement, and behavior. It's not clear if they stew moving towards or away from something which ease purposeful to allow the viewer to create their own story.

Wild dogs have become a favorite for me to paint. They are all very different in coloring and I se a little bit of their personalities in my own dogs. They are dedicated loving and efficent hunters, it's hard nor to find them fascinating.
